Grupa Elbow dostąpiła kolejnego wyróżnienia. "The Seldom Seen Kid" wybrano płytą roku w "plebiscycie plebiscytów".

Ranking ogłosiła sieć sklepów muzycznych HMV w Wielkiej Brytanii. Sondaż przeprowadzono wśród krytyków, sprzedawców HMV i fanów. Najnowsze dzieło manchesterskiej formacji nominowało 18 spośród 19 przedstawicieli branży muzycznej.
